Feeds.App

Feeds.App is the Movable Type plugin for republishing RSS and Atom feeds in your weblogs.

Movable Type 4.0 includes our Feeds.App Lite plugin that lets users integrate the titles and links from a feed in their weblog. Feeds.App is the plugin for those looking to do much more with syndication feeds in their weblogs.

With Feeds.App you can:

  • Merge multiple feeds into one listing
  • Display summaries and the full content
  • Automatically update feeds content using the built-in task manager
  • Work with extended meta data such as authors, categories, extended links, and timestamps
  • Powerful template tag controls for integrating content how you need it
  • Transparently work with any form of the RSS and Atom feed formats

Requirements

We highly recommend a proper XML parser and SAX driver is installed for optimal performance. Feeds.App requires several additional open source modules from CPAN. These modules are included in the distribution of Feeds.App or MT itself.

This page says "Movable Type 4.0 includes"... but it should say
"Movable Type 4.0 Pro". Feeds.App Lite is not included in the open source release.

Hi,

I have mt 4.32 pro and archive dynamic template.
When clik a post or archive category, I have this error:
Smarty error: [in evaluated template line 6]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'mtfeed' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 580)

How to fix?

thank you

raffaele

I bought this plugin for $40 and it did not work with Movabletype 5.02. I emailed Timothy Appnel several times for support and/or refund but got no response. So beware, there is no support for this rather expensive plugin and you're out $40 if it doesn't work.

Feeds.App is not compatible with MT5. I refunded meshugy his money and apologize for the delay in responding. It was a premature reaction to post something like that here so quickly. In the end all parties walked away satisfied.

Well that is good to know, I was just about to try it out for MT 5. Do you plan on making it compatible with MT 5.1? If not, do you know of a similar plugin that works for MT 5?
