Specify HTML tags and attributes allowed in entry/page fields based upon system or blog settings.

Functions in same manner as, but is distinct from, the GlobalSanitizeSpec configuration directive.

A typical use case of this plugin is to cleanup the mess introduced by authors copying and pasting texts from Microsoft Word. Newest versions of MS Word will typically introduce invalid HTML code that can break a site layout and CSS styles.

SanitizeBlogs 2 is a variant of the SanitizeBlogs plugin by Six Apart. While the Six Apart version sanitizes blogs based upon a blog URL prefix (useful for blogs published under the Community Platform), the present variant is more useful for a blog farm where you want all blogs to be sanitized with the ability to refine or prevent the sanitization for selected blogs.

SmartTrim is a plugin for Movable Type 4 that aims to provide a smarter trimming global modifier than words or trim_to.

The stock MT global modifier words cuts at a certain number of words without any control on the resulting length, it will also remove all HTML tags. trim_to cuts to a specific length but can cut a string in the middle of a word and can also output invalid HTML in the form of unclosed tags.

SmartTrim:

trims a string to a target character length without cutting words
will close any unclosed tags if the source contains HTML
can append an optional ending string like an ellipsis to the result

The Custom Asset Markup plugin was created to address the issue in Movable Type 4+ where assets embedded into entries are wrapped with HTML markup that is hard coded into MT::Asset and MT::Asset::Image. Having markup hard-coded into the templates presents a number of problems:

The markup is not customizable by designers who wish to control the look and feel of embedded assets
The markup contains inline CSS styles which, by definition, cannot be overridden by user-developed CSS
The markup has been found to be incompatible with a small number of environments, particularly those in tightly controlled corporate Intranets.

This plugin provides administrators with a way to easily and arbitrarily customize the inserted markup via the template system.

Hyphenation for Movable Type provides automatic hyphenation of your text based on OpenOffice hyphenation dictionaries.

Automatic hyphenation is very useful if you often use left-aligned or right-aligned images with text flowing along the side of the image in a narrow column. With Firefox 3, hyphenation is now displayed on all major browsers.

You can have Hyphenation for Movable Type hyphenate all of your text, or just selected portions of it. You can also use multiple dictionaries if your blog contains entries with different languages.

YUI Rich Text Editor

YUI has become my new favourite Rich Text Editor and I have been implementing it left right and centre. It's extensability, features and ease of use are unparralled. It made sense for all these features to be available to me in MovableType so why not package it up into a plugin too?

This plugin adds a new Rich Text Editor in the form of the Yahoo User Interface Rich Text Editor.

Options include stretching the editor to fit the content automatically and disbaling use of the MT assets selection tools in favour of a simpler URL based image chooser.

NEW in 1.3 Auto-tagging of entries!

Based heavily on the FCKEditor plugin, and will be extended and updated as and when there is some documentation for this functionality.
