Plugin and Theme Guidelines

To learn about creating plugins and themes, see the developer guide and the themes overview.

Requirements for submitting to the directory

1. Plugin or theme is tested in the latest version of Movable Type.
2. Readme file includes description and fully documents all functionality.
3. License information is clearly stated in both the plugin files and documentation.
   • For free, open source plugins, we recommend the MIT license.
4. Code is well organized and consistent with documentation.
5. All text, including code comments, is in proper English. We may edit submissions for adherence.

Note: For GitHub hosted plugins, you must push a tag in order to trigger the automatic update in the plugin and theme directory.
