Comment Subscribe
Comment Subscribe is a plugin for Movable Type which provides similar functionality to the 'Notify me of follow up comments via e-mail' feature on Wordpress. If a user checks a box when posting a comment, they will receive emails every time someone else posts a comment on the same entry. Each email will include a link which the user can use to unsubscribe.
MT-Notifier provides a superset of this functionality, but does not currently work on Movable Type 4, so I wrote this.
Version 1.02 now available; please upgrade.

A user recently reported the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare multiblog_mtblogcategorycount() (previously declared in /home/breese/majordojo/web/htdocs/cgi-bin/mt/plugins/MultiBlog/php/init. MultiBlog.php:53) in /home/breese/majordojo/web/htdocs/cgi-bin/mt/php/plugins/init.MultiBlog. php on line 53
Is there a fix for this yet?

I get an error 500, internal server error when anyone tries to unsubscribe, and yes I have made sure that the cgi has 755 permissions.

Seems that there are still several issues in version 1.02
I couldn't get Unsubscribe to work.
And I had to manually fix the address for the unsubscribe (as outlined via commentor on Authors site)

I am using Comment Subscribe 1.02 with MT 4.2 and get the following error in my activity log:
Comment Subscribe died with: Can't locate object method "param" via package "MT" at /home/rmiles/public_html/cgi-bin/mt/plugins/C ommentSubscribe/CommentSubscribe.pl line 47.
I was going to leave the comment at the support site but comments are closed. Anyone else seeing this error?

It would be nice if the plugin could first send users an e-mail asking them to confirm their e-mail before adding the subscription. There's been some law suits in Germany due to people using the Wordpress "subscribe to comments" function, because theoretically you can just enter anybody's e-mail address and that person would then receive "unsolicited e-mails".

Not meaning to hijack this plugin, but it's meant as a simple means for subscribing to comments (hence the name). I suspect the reason that it hasn't been updated for some time is that the author found out what I did some time ago - once in the wild, feature requests rarely stop.
If you want simple, this plugin appears to do the job (though I don't use it, so I can't really say). If you want complex, go with MT-Notifier instead. It's all that - though perhaps not a bag of chips.

I can't find the installation guide of this plugin, the creator's page isn't available now? Will you show me the instruction? Thank you very much.
