Cache Manager v1.0

By Byrne Reese
Posted April 20, 2011, in Developer.

Details

One of Movable Type's most important features is its template module caching system, which can ameliorate most publishing performance issues. However if you are a developer or designer and utilize this feature heavily, then troubleshooting issues that arise from it can be difficult because Movable Type is so opaque.

This plugin helps developing sites using template module caching easier by providing users with these features:

  • view the cache stored for a given template module
  • clear the cache for a list of modules

I agree, this is why Movable Type is worlds ahead of Word Press and all of the other CMSs. I think that it is the reason that it also runs better than the rest. I was having some speed issues with my website a while ago. I tried a couple of different things, but recently I found this and it really did help me speed things up.
